Cambodia: Chinese Ambassador and Youth Parliamentarians Distribute Educational Materials, Emphasizing Peace and Education

A delegation of Cambodian youth parliamentarians, led by Suos Yara, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Information Committee and Head of the Cambodian Youth Parliamentarians Group, along with H.E. Wang Wenbin, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Cambodia, recently visited the Hun Sen So Reung Primary School in Kampong Cham province. The visit on August 5, 2026, included the distribution of educational materials to students. The event was also attended by Madam Korb Mariyas and H.E. Suos Muhsin, Deputy Heads of the Cambodian Youth Parliamentarians Group, members of the Secretariat working group, and numerous other delegates participating in the second 'Mekong-Lancang Peace Ship' initiative. This initiative aims to promote the education sector, strengthen friendly relations, cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges among countries along the Mekong River, from the grassroots to the youth level. H.E. Suos Yara conveyed warm greetings to the teachers and students, urging them to study diligently and acquire knowledge to become good children, good students, and good citizens capable of contributing to national development in the future. He emphasized the crucial importance of "peace" as an indispensable foundation for development in all sectors, particularly education, and expressed high praise and appreciation for the teachers' dedication and hard work in nurturing human resources for Cambodia. To conclude, H.E. Yara and the accompanying delegation presented school supplies, including books, pens, pencils, rulers, and erasers, as charitable donations from participants from Mekong-Lancang region countries.
