US Agricultural Products Exports to Vietnam Expected to Exceed $5.7 Billion in 2025 Amid Trade Promotion Event

The 'Taste of America 2026' barbecue festival, showcasing high-quality US agricultural products and foods, is taking place in Hanoi from September 17 to October 1. The event aims to promote agricultural trade between Vietnam and the United States. This festival is expected to further advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the US, contributing to its substantive and effective development. Bilateral relations have deepened across various sectors, including economy, security, and culture, in recent years, and this event is positioned as part of those efforts. Vietnam considers leading US technology corporations as important đồng hành partners and emphasizes cooperation in economic growth. A 5-year healthcare cooperation has also been launched, focusing on promoting people-to-people exchanges and technology transfer. By expanding agricultural imports from the US, Vietnam seeks to diversify its domestic food supply and improve quality, while the US also finds Vietnam to be a significant market for its farmers. Projections indicate that exports of US agricultural products to Vietnam will exceed $5.7 billion in 2025, fostering mutually beneficial relations for both economies. Furthermore, Vietnamese President Tô Lâm is scheduled to attend a high-level meeting at the UN General Assembly, signifying the vibrancy of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
