Daughter-in-law Decapitates Mother-in-law in Phuket Rage

A SHOCKING incident occurred in Phuket when an enraged daughter-in-law fatally attacked and decapitated her mother-in-law during a heated argument at their home today (Aug. 1), Amarin TV said. Pol. Lt. Col. Jaruvit Khunjarern, an investigating officer at Chalong police station, was alerted of a murder at a house in Chalong subdistrict, Mueang district, and rushed there with a police team and officials from related agencies after reporting the case to Pol. Col. Surasak Jaidee, this police station’s superintendent. At the scene, they found the body of Ms. Chantra (surname withheld), 74, lying dead inside the house with severe stab wounds and a large amount of blood on the floor. Initial investigations revealed that before the incident, the deceased had been arguing fiercely with her daughter-in-law, Ms. Sriwan, 36. The enraged suspect then physically assaulted the victim, causing her to fall, before brutally attacking her with a knife, slashing her body and face, and ultimately decapitating her. Neighbours who witnessed the incident then alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect hiding in the bathroom and apprehended her. Initially, investigators, along with forensic officers and a coroner, examined the crime scene and conducted an autopsy. They are now thoroughly investigating the motive of the murder before proceeding with legal action.
