JAKARTA - PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has confirmed that its Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) tanker, Pertamina Pride, has successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz. "Following the success of the Gamsunoro ship, the Pertamina Pride ship has also left the Arabian Gulf area and crossed the Strait of Hormuz last night. This means that the two PIS ships that have been held since last March can now resume their journey and operate as usual," said PJS Corporate Secretary Vega Pita in a statement to the media, Thursday, July 9. Pita explained that the Pertamina Pride ship started moving on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 13.00 Dubai time (16.00 WIB) and managed to cross the critical area and the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 00.15 WIB.
