20 Myanmar nationals arrested in Mae Sot for illegally entering Thailand

It has been learned that 20 Myanmar nationals who illegally entered Thailand were arrested on July 25 in the Tha Sae Luet village group, Mae Sot Township, Tak Province. According to reports from Thai regional news, members of the Ratchamanu Task Force of the Thai 3rd Army Area discovered and arrested 20 Myanmar nationals illegally entering a forest area near the "Mae Moei City" department store in Ward 2, Tha Sae Luet village group, Mae Sot Township, on the Thai-Myanmar border, while conducting security operations to prevent illegal border crossings. The Ratchamanu Task Force of the Thai 3rd Army Area, while conducting patrol and surveillance operations to control the area, discovered a suspicious group of people. Upon questioning, it was found that they were unable to present any valid travel permits, passports, or identification documents. Therefore, a total of 20 Myanmar nationals, consisting of 11 men and 9 women, who had illegally entered the country, were detained by the relevant authorities. It has been learned from sources in Thailand that the Myanmar nationals arrested for illegally entering Thailand have been handed over to the Mae Sot Immigration Department (Tamu) office in Tak Province to proceed with legal procedures.
