Opening of Performing Arts Competition : Cultural performing arts competition opened in Yangon

The opening ceremony of the 27th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition was held in the morning on September 1st, at Basic Education High School No. 4 in Ahlone Township, Yangon Region. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, attended and officiated by cutting the ribbon, followed by delivering an opening speech. Afterward, basic education students performed songs and dances as entertainment. Subsequently, Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and officials visited and encouraged the ongoing competitions at various venues including the dance competition held at Basic Education High School No. 4 in Ahlone Township, the singing competition at Basic Education High School No. 2 in Latha Township; the writing competition at Basic Education High School No. 2 in Dagon Township; and the musical performance competition at Basic Education High School No. 2 in Sanchaung Township. They warmly met and greeted the judging panel members, comprising evaluation experts for each competition category, as well as the contestants, offering words of encouragement. It is reported that a total of 557 contestants from basic education schools, private schools, and monastic education schools across Yangon Region will compete in their respective categories from September 1 to September 2.
