Jokowi Invited to Appear on Johan Budi's Podcast
Former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) executive and current Member of Parliament, Johan Budi, visited President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) hometown in Solo to invite the president as a guest on his podcast, "Johan Budi Untold Story." The president appeared to accept the invitation.
Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo, a former executive of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and currently a Member of Parliament, visited President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) hometown in Solo, Central Java. On the morning of October 9, Budi visited the president's residence to invite him as a guest on his podcast program, "Johan Budi Untold Story." Budi stated that his visit was to invite President Jokowi to appear on his podcast. After waiting for a short while, President Jokowi arrived in his private car. Johan Budi greeted the president after he exited his vehicle. "Good. Please, please come in," said Jokowi, inviting Johan Budi into his residence. Johan Budi previously served as the interim chairman of the KPK in 2015 during Jokowi's first presidential term. A year later, Jokowi appointed Johan Budi as presidential spokesperson. After no longer being active in the KPK, Johan was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) for the 2019-2024 term. As President Jokowi's second term nears its end, Johan Budi resigned from PDIP to participate in the selection for the KPK leadership in 2024. However, Johan Budi failed to be selected as KPK leadership for that period. Source: CNN Indonesia
