Vietnam Showcases Historical, Legal Evidence of Sovereignty Over Hoang Sa, Truong Sa

Vietnam has reiterated its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos by presenting historical and legal evidence. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated that any foreign activities in Hoang Sa without Vietnam's permission are completely illegal and invalid. The exhibition showcases objective and verifiable historical and legal proof of Vietnam's maritime and insular sovereignty, underscoring the unyielding resolve, patriotism, and contributions of generations of Vietnamese soldiers and citizens. As part of efforts, the remains sampling team of the Dong Thap provincial Military Command has collected over 8,420 samples from unidentified remains under a campaign to search for and identify fallen soldiers. Separately, 23 citizens were identified by Cambodian authorities as being involved in suspected online scams, illegal employment, illegal entry, or illegal residence. Furthermore, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam expressed hope that education, along with science, technology, and innovation, would become an important pillar of Vietnam-Canada relations. Vietnam and Russia have also agreed to establish a cooperation framework for exchanging external information and supporting cooperation programs. While prioritizing territorial integrity and the protection of its citizens' rights, Vietnam continues to foster economic growth and international cooperation. For instance, support was provided to disadvantaged children at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, reflecting the state's social welfare considerations within its one-party system. Regarding relations with China, both sides agreed to strictly abide by the three legal documents governing the land border and common perceptions reached by their armies, addressing emerging issues promptly.
