Batanes Rep. Ciriaco Gato left legacy of physician’s perspective in House

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on Tuesday condoled with the family of the late Batanes Rep. Ciriaco Gato, citing the lawmaker’s legacy of bringing a physician’s perspective to the House of Representatives. “He was able to leave a positive impact on legislation as he brought to the House of Representatives a perspective that comes from a caring physician,” Dy said in a statement. The chamber extended its condolences to the family of Gato, who died on Tuesday. Romualdez lauded Gato for his contributions to lawmaking, particularly in areas concerning public health and the welfare of his constituents. “His dedication to public service and his compassionate approach to governance will be greatly missed by his colleagues and the Filipino people,” Romualdez added.
