Philippines to Remove VAT on System Loss in Electricity Bills Starting October
Starting October, the Philippines will remove the value-added tax (VAT) on system loss charges in electricity bills. This change, mandated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), is expected to slightly reduce electricity costs for consumers, though the system loss charge itself will remain.
