Indonesia's National Quran Recitation Contest Opens, Religious Affairs Minister Urges Daily Application

The 31st National Quran Recitation Contest (MTQ Nasional XXXI) has commenced in Indonesia. This event is a significant religious occasion in the Muslim-majority nation, where participants compete in the recitation and understanding of the Quran. At the opening ceremony, the Minister of Religious Affairs stated that the teachings of the Quran should not merely be recited but should also be reflected in the daily "sikap" (attitude/stance) and "perilaku" (actions/behavior) of every citizen.
