The ship, named PEREKOP, is a medium sea tanker with a length of 138 meters, a width of 18 meters, and a draft of 6 meters, capable of carrying 6,100 tons. It carries a crew of 391, led by Captain Andrew Amorphous. The vessel's visit is scheduled for two days, from September 11 to September 12, 2026. In accordance with the strict orders of Brigadier General Heng Bunty, Commander of the Provincial Gendarmerie of Sihanoukville, forces from the Provincial Gendarmerie, along with gendarmerie units from the municipalities and districts, launched mobile patrol operations. They were stationed at key locations and provided escorts for the fleet delegation, ensuring security and public order within the jurisdiction of Sihanoukville province. This port call is part of the military exchanges between Cambodia and Russia, and is expected to contribute to the maintenance and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. Sihanoukville Port is a vital international trade hub for Cambodia and also accommodates visits by naval vessels.
