5-year-old girl murdered, earrings robbed, body dumped in trash heap in Tantabin Township, perpetrator not yet apprehended

Yangon, July 5 In Tou Chaung Village, Tantabin Township, Yangon Region, a 5-year-old girl was brutally murdered and the gold earrings she was wearing were robbed. The perpetrator has not yet been apprehended, according to local residents and police radio information. Around 8:30 AM on July 3, 5-year-old Ma Saw Tar Sain, daughter of U Naing Ko Min and his wife Daw Su Hla Phyu, went missing from her home, prompting her family to search desperately throughout the village. During the search, around 11:20 PM on July 3, the body of 5-year-old Ma Saw Tar Sain was found dumped in a trash heap along U Kan Myan Road in Tou Chaung Village, Tantabin Township, placed inside a blanket and a sala bag. Upon inspection by the Tantabin Township Police Force at the scene, it was discovered that a pair of gold earrings weighing approximately 2 ticals (worth about 1 million kyats) that the deceased child was wearing on both ears were missing, and the earlobes where the earrings were attached were severed. The body of the murdered child underwent an autopsy, and the police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the perpetrator who killed the child and robbed the earrings. As of today, July 5, the perpetrator has not yet been apprehended.
