Upbit Indonesia Strengthens Social Commitment through Humanitarian Action in Flores and Education for Children in Medan JAKARTA - Upbit Indonesia strengthens its social commitment through two corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Medan, North Sumatra. Both activities include humanitarian support and post-disaster recovery as well as providing learning and safety education for children. In the midst of various social and humanitarian challenges faced by communities in a number of regions in Indonesia, collaboration between the private sector, communities, and social organizations is considered to play an important role in ensuring that support reaches the people in need. Upbit Indonesia CEO Resna Raniadi said the company's contribution in Indonesia is not only realized through education and development of the digital asset ecosystem, but also through involvement in various social activities that are relevant to community needs. "For us, growing in Indonesia also means growing together with the Indonesian people. Supporting the Recovery of Earthquake Survivors in Flores On September 5, 2026, Upbit Indonesia collaborated with the Andaru Selaras Foundation (YAS) to provide support to earthquake-affected communities in Flores and help distribute assistance to groups in need. One of the areas of concern is Manggarai Regency. Based on data presented during the activity, around 47,840 residents were displaced and 17,108 houses were damaged. At a number of evacuation points, the community still faces limitations in access to clean water, sanitation facilities, lighting, sleeping equipment, and special needs for women, infants, and families. Through this collaboration, assistance is provided in the form of various basic needs, including blankets, mattresses, tarpaulins, hygiene kits, dignity kits, baby kits, support for clean water, and family food packages. In addition to meeting basic needs, the psychosocial recovery aspect is also part of the activities. Upbit Indonesia together with YAS presents a Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) session which is guided by certified facilitators for survivors, volunteers, and officers who are directly involved in disaster handling. "Post-disaster recovery is not only related to meeting physical needs. Psychosocial support also has an important role in helping survivors and volunteers through the recovery process, rebuilding a sense of security, and gradually returning to daily activities," explained Resna. Present a Learning and Educational Safety Room for Children in Medan Upbit Indonesia's social commitment continues on September 20, 2026 through collaboration with Heart2Hand.Project in Medan, North Sumatra. Through the Volunteer Batch 5 program with the theme A Day to Teach, Inspire & Share Joy!, the activity presents a safe, fun, and meaningful learning space for children who study in roadside environments. A total of 30 volunteers and 30 children participated in the activity. Four firefighters were also involved as partners in the education session. Various activities were carried out, ranging from joint learning, education on safety and fire risk prevention, introduction of the fire service profession, to interactive games. The activity is designed to encourage children's creativity, confidence, concern, and learning spirit through an educational and fun experience. "We want to participate in providing a learning space that not only provides knowledge, but also creates a positive experience for children. Hopefully, this activity can help foster their confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm to continue learning," said Resna. Growing Together with Indonesian Society Despite having different focuses and characters, the initiatives in Flores and Medan carry the same spirit, namely to present contributions that are relevant to the needs of the local community.
