Consumer Affairs Department calls for Expression of Interest (EOI) for joint operation of laboratories under Product Testing and Quality Management Division

The Consumer Affairs Department is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for joint operations at its laboratories under the Product Testing and Quality Management Division, according to the Consumer Affairs Department. It is planned to cooperate with domestic entrepreneurs in a joint operation system for the purpose of obtaining international accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025), facilitating laboratory testing of export and import goods, and commercialization, by testing the quality of agricultural products exported abroad and edible oils produced and imported domestically and internationally, and issuing test reports from the laboratories under the Product Testing and Quality Management Division. Therefore, interested companies can download the Expression of Interest (EOI) form from www.doca.gov.mm and submit their applications by August 31, 2026, within office hours, addressed to the Consumer Affairs Department, Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Office No. 52, Nay Pyi Taw, or by email to [email protected]. The company-related documents to be submitted along with the Expression of Interest (EOI) are as follows, according to the Consumer Affairs Department: (a) a notification clearly stating the interest in conducting business, along with a work plan and budget plan; (b) a valid company registration certificate; (c) the proposing company must be a domestic company, and if there is a foreign company for technical cooperation, its details (to be submitted as an attachment); (d) the business experience of the company wishing to invest (if there is experience cooperating with domestic government departments or organizations, a recommendation letter from that department or organization; if there is experience abroad, relevant evidence to be submitted as an attachment); (e) evidence related to the financial status of the company wishing to invest (audited reports by a certified auditor for the past 3 years); (f) the name, position, national identification card number, address, phone number, and email address of the contact person for communication with the company (for detailed information, please call 067-3430459, 067-3430510).
