Vietnam Accelerates Cultural and Human Development Through Comprehensive Art Education Reform

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam has adopted Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, identifying cultural and human development as a crucial foundation, internal resource, significant driving force, and regulatory pillar for the nation's rapid and sustainable development. A key objective set for 2030 is to ensure 100% of students and learners within the national education system have effective and regular access to and participation in art activities and cultural heritage education. In response to the rapid and profound shifts brought about by digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and global integration, a comprehensive reform of art education in Vietnam is considered a critically important and urgent task to contribute to achieving the cultural and human development targets set by the Party and State. The reform efforts focus on promoting interdisciplinary integration and access, shifting pedagogical methods to emphasize resources, enabling students to 'live in music,' applying technology in education, especially in the arts, and building an environment that encourages creativity.
