Phu Tho province safely relocates, detonates 200kg bomb found in riverbed

A bomb weighing approximately 200kg, discovered in the Da Riverbed in Vietnam's northern Phu Tho province, has been safely relocated and detonated by local authorities. According to the Phu Tho Military Command, the bomb was spotted on August 31 after the river's water level receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb, including its fuse, was found intact and located about 300m from a residential area. Following the discovery, local authorities implemented measures to prioritize the safety of residents.
