Cambodia to Provide Cash Assistance to Vulnerable Households Amidst Rising Fuel Prices

The Cambodian government has decided to implement a cash assistance program for low-income, vulnerable, and at-risk households impacted by the rising prices of oil and fuel. This initiative is under the direct guidance of Prime Minister Hun Manet, aiming to alleviate the burden on citizens' livelihoods. According to the government's announcement on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, regarding the implementation of the cash assistance program, eligible households will receive payments over four installments. The first payment is scheduled for September 25, 2026, the second for October 16, 2026, the third for November 16, 2026, and the fourth for December 16, 2026. The Ministry of Planning has already prepared an updated list of target households, and the National Social Assistance Fund is in the process of preparing for the disbursement of these funds to the beneficiaries on the aforementioned dates.
