Cambodia Plans Field Survey to Update Veteran and Retiree Statistics

Banteay Meanchey Province in western Cambodia has formulated a plan for a field survey aimed at understanding the actual conditions of veterans and retirees and improving the accuracy of support measures. Provincial Governor Oum Ratry led a meeting with relevant departments at the provincial branch office of the Association of Veterans and Retirees, emphasizing the importance of this plan. The core of this plan is to establish working groups that will go directly to the commune/district level to meet with veterans and retirees and collect specific data. This will update and adjust statistics for veterans and retirees who have applied for financial assistance, ensuring that support is delivered fairly and accurately to those genuinely in need. The Governor stated that this initiative is not merely an administrative procedure but a concrete manifestation of the government's spirit of "leaving no citizen behind." He explained that the government always remembers the immense contributions made by veterans and retirees for the nation, and by accurately grasping their living conditions, health status, and urgent needs, timely and precise interventions and support measures can be implemented.
