Vinh Long Province to Host National Security Defense Day 2026

Vinh Long Province in southern Vietnam announced that it will host a ceremonial event for the "National Day for All People to Protect National Security" on July 26, 2026, at Cuu Long University. This event will be organized under the guidance of the Central Steering Committee for the nationwide "Movement for All People to Protect National Security." Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, a member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, who also chairs the Central Steering Committee, is expected to attend the ceremony. This initiative aims to encourage the active participation of every citizen in maintaining safety and order within their communities. In recent years, Vinh Long Province has been advancing various initiatives to strengthen community development and security. For example, the "Flag-Flying Tree-Lined Road" model has been completed in Tra Con village, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance administrative management efficiency is also being promoted. Economic growth is also evident with the operation of a new aquatic feed factory. Against this backdrop, the upcoming "National Day for All People to Protect National Security" serves as a significant opportunity to foster solidarity within the community and raise public awareness for maintaining a safe and stable environment. Under Vietnam's one-party system, social order and national security are among the government's top priorities, and such movements encouraging public participation are crucial pillars for their realization.
