Cambodia's Ministry of Health Backs Children's Lifeline at Kantha Bopha Hospital
Cambodia's Ministry of Health has pledged support to Kantha Bopha Hospital to enhance its pediatric medical services. The hospital stands as a symbol of child salvation in post-Khmer Rouge Cambodia. The ministry committed to ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all children.
Professor Dr. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, stated that the Ministry of Health supports Kantha Bopha Hospital in strengthening and elevating the quality of child rescue to be even better. He made this remark during a visit to inspect healthcare services and the evolving situation of dengue fever at Kantha Bopha Hospital (Wat Phnom) on July 27, 2026. Professor Dr. Ra emphasized that Kantha Bopha Hospital is a symbol of child salvation in Cambodia, characterized by compassion, quality, and hope. The Ministry of Health supports the hospital in strengthening and elevating the quality of child rescue, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to receive equitable treatment. On this occasion, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the medical team, leadership, and staff at all levels of Kantha Bopha Hospital for their ongoing efforts in saving children's lives. Concurrently, he encouraged them to pay close attention to health education in the community, eliminating stagnant water where mosquitoes breed, mosquito spraying, and providing quality and safe medical treatment at the hospital for all patients and children.
