Cambodian People's Party Meets Local Cadres, Strengthening Unity for 2027 Commune Elections

Senior Cambodian People's Party (CPP) official Ke Kimyan, a member of the Standing Committee and head of the party's working group for Banteay Meanchey province, met with local party officials, branch leaders, and youth party members in Phnom Srok district on July 19, 2026. During the occasion, Ke Kimyan conveyed greetings and blessings from CPP President Hun Sen, expressing gratitude to all party members, leaders, armed forces, and citizens throughout Banteay Meanchey province. He further stated that the government, under the continued leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, is safeguarding peace and national sovereignty while developing the country along the party's correct political path, prioritizing the supreme interests of the nation and its people. He pledged further significant achievements for the motherland. Acknowledging the work of the Phnom Srok district party committee, Ke Kimyan highly praised the efforts of all working groups and party officials who have achieved numerous accomplishments for the party and the nation. He affirmed the ongoing collective efforts to resolve border disputes, protect national sovereignty and security, develop physical and mental capabilities, foster patriotism, improve livelihoods, eradicate online scams, and resolutely oppose any illegal governments, such as the "October 23" movement, which have caused political and security instability in Cambodia. In parallel, Ke Kimyan continued, 2026 is a year to prepare for participation in the 6th mandate commune/sangkat council elections, scheduled for Sunday, June 6, 2027. He urged all party officials to continue defending sovereignty and security along the borders, maintaining security and order, implementing the "Safe Village-Commune" policy, providing excellent public services, offering humanitarian aid, alleviating difficulties, nurturing and expanding party membership at the grassroots level, and preparing to mobilize citizens for voter registration in the upcoming period.
