Sara Duterte’s net satisfaction rating remains ‘good’ at 31 points

MANILA, Philippines — The net satisfaction rating of Vice President Sara Duterte was classified as “good” as it rose to 31 points in June 2026, according to the latest survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS). According to a national survey conducted by SWS on June 20-29, 2026, 58% of the respondents were found to be satisfied with her performance while 26% were dissatisfied. These were an increase to the 54% and 25% satisfaction and dissatisfaction ratings, respectively, of her performance in March 2026. With this, the SWS noted that her net satisfaction rating (percent satisfied minus percent dissatisfied) grew from a “moderate” 29 to 31 points. It also said that her net satisfaction score grew in Balance Luzon and Mindanao but fell in Metro Manila and remained unchanged in Visayas. “The 2-point increase in Vice President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating from March 2026 to June 2026 was due to an increase in Balance Luzon, combined with a smaller increase in Mindanao and a decrease in Metro Manila, while the Visayas held steady,” the polling firm said in a media release. The latest survey showed that her net satisfaction rating was still the highest in Mindanao at +84 (excellent); followed by Visayas at +36 (good); Balance Luzon at +10 (moderate), and Metro Manila at +3 (neutral). The survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews among 1,200 adults nationwide; with 300 respondents each coming from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. It used sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The SWS also surveyed for the satisfaction rate of Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian, House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III, and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo. This survey excluded the results for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., which were posted the other day. It stated that 45% were satisfied while 27% were dissatisfied with the performance of Gatchalian, with a net satisfaction rating of 18 classified as moderate. This is his first publication rating since he took the helm. It noted that Gatchalian has been the third Senate chief since the last time it conducted its survey in March, where former Senate President Vicente Sotto III registered a “moderate” +15 net satisfaction rating. It added that the transition of the Senate leadership from former Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano to Gatchalian fell between the survey rounds for June. His highest net satisfaction rating was computed in Visayas at 30 points (good); Balance Luzon at +21 (moderate); Metro Manila at +15 (moderate), and Mindanao at five points (neutral). Further, Dy’s performance registered 33% satisfaction and 26% dissatisfaction. His satisfaction slightly rose from March’s 32% while dissatisfaction declined from 28%. His net satisfaction score was neutral in Metro Manila (net zero) and Mindanao (+3), and moderate in both Balance Luzon (+11) and Visayas (+11). The SWS said that this resulted in his net satisfaction score of 8 from 5 points, with both considered as neutral. Meanwhile, the performance rating of Segismundo remained unchanged since March 2026 where 35% were found to be satisfied with his performance while 26% were dissatisfied. His highest net rating was from Visayas at 15 points (moderate); Mindanao at 12 points (moderate); Balance Luzon at eight points (neutral); and Metro Manila at two points (neutral). Segismundo posted a net satisfaction rating of 10 for June, a point increase from March’s 9 under the neutral category.
