12 Chinese nationals who illegally entered from Myanmar were arrested by Mae Sot police

It was learned on July 23 that 12 Chinese nationals who illegally entered from the Myanmar side were arrested by Thai authorities in Mae Sot district, Tak province, near Mae Sot district, Tak province, on the Thai-Myanmar border. The Mae Sot District Police (Mae Sot Village Police Post) of Tak Province, Thailand, in cooperation with the Rachamanu Unit and local administrative bodies, made the arrests while searching a cornfield in Block 2, Phakhon Village (Mae Khon Kin Village) of Mae Sot Village Group. Upon receiving a report of suspicious individuals in the cornfield, a search was conducted, and 11 Chinese nationals were found hiding in the cornfield. Ten of them had no identification documents, while one possessed a passport. Through an interrogation via a translation app, they all admitted to illegally crossing the border from the Myanmar side. Furthermore, Group 3 discovered one Chinese national walking on the roadside in Mae Ko Village Group, bringing the total number of Chinese nationals detained to 12. Currently, relevant military officials have formally handed over the arrested individuals to the Immigration Department (Tao Mao) in Tak Province, and it is understood that further legal action will be taken, and investigations into the connections will be carried out.
