Thailand Proposes Massive 165 Billion Baht Spillway to Combat Flooding

Thailand's government has proposed a colossal spillway project, estimated at 165 billion baht, to rapidly convey excess water from central dams and reservoirs to the Gulf of Thailand. This initiative aims to mitigate severe, long-term flood damage in low-lying areas, including Bangkok, and prevent an estimated annual loss of 17 billion baht.
