With new episodes dropping every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the series is divided into three content themes. Under “PR 101,” IPRA Philippines chair Claire Papa, past chairs Joy Buensalido and Jingjing Romero, along with Abigail Ho-Torres, will break down the basics of PR and communication, from the difference between PR, advertising and marketing to influencer promotions and why some stories make it to the news. “PR IRL” brings viewers behind some of the world’s most talked-about PR and communication cases. IPRA Philippines vice chair Kane Errol Choa, director Charisse Chuidian, past chair Noel Nieva and secretary Rowena Capulong Reyes will revisit real-life stories and draw simple lessons viewers can understand and apply. Meanwhile, “PReady FR FR” takes on communication in everyday life. The move to social media is part of IPRA Philippines’ continuing effort to make PR knowledge more accessible beyond the profession. In 2023, the organization launched “PR Matters: A Communicator’s Guide to Public Relations in the Philippines,” a collection of insights and experiences from Filipino PR practitioners. IPRA Philippines has also brought PR closer to students through its CommuniTalks campus sessions, including engagements at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Far Eastern University and Centro Escolar University, where practitioners shared real-world lessons with the next generation of communicators. IPRA Philippines is the Philippine chapter of the International Public Relations Association, a global organization of public relations professionals that promotes excellence, ethical practice and the role of communication in building understanding and trust. IPRA Philippines hopes to show that good communication isn’t something only PR professionals need to know. INQ
