Cambodia Protests Thai Activities in Border Provinces

Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly protested Thailand's construction of at least 36 Buddha statues and erection of two national flag poles in border areas of Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces. Cambodia asserts these actions are unilateral violations of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, contravening the December 27, 2025 ceasefire agreement.
