Cambodia-Indonesia Trade Surpasses $935 Million in Eight Months, Up 33%

AKP Phnom Penh, September 21, 2026 -- Cambodia’s bilateral trade with Indonesia reached US$935 million in the first eight months of 2026, an increase of approximately 33 percent compared with the same period in 2025, according to the Ministry of Commerce. The figure was highlighted by H.E. Kem Sithan, Acting Minister of Commerce, representing H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, during the opening ceremony of “SOUSDEY INDONESIA 2026” at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sept. 19. The “SOUSDEY INDONESIA 2026” event aimed to strengthen trade relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia, particularly by providing opportunities for the private sector to share insights on business and investment, as well as promoting cultural exchange between the two nations. The event was attended by Mr. Krishnajie Partadireja, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Phnom Penh, leaders from relevant ministries and institutions, representatives of diplomatic missions, and numerous national and international guests. H.E. Kem Sithan said Indonesia is a key trading partner for Cambodia, with bilateral trade volume exceeding US$1 billion in both 2024 and 2025. He highlighted the importance of further strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia, while encouraging greater interaction between investors from both countries to explore new opportunities and deepen bilateral trade.
