Battambang Fruit Fair Concludes Successfully, Tripling Exhibitors and Boosting Economy

The Battambang Fruit Fair 2026, held in Battambang province in western Cambodia from July 10th to 19th, 2026, concluded successfully on the evening of July 19th, with the presence of HE Ouy Ry, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and HE Sok Loo, Governor of Battambang Province. According to Mr. Chim Vachira, Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, the 10-day event received strong support from the public, agricultural communities, orchard owners, and both domestic and international tourists. A total of 36 orchard owners participated, setting up 57 stalls to display and sell their produce. This marks an increase of nearly three times compared to the 2025 fair. A significant volume, totaling tens of tons, of various fruits, including durian, coconut, rambutan, longan, avocado, pineapple, and citrus, were sold out. HE Sok Loo expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee and the armed forces for their dedication in ensuring the fair was grand, joyful, and maintained excellent security, order, and safety. He encouraged farmers and orchard owners to expand their cultivation in line with agricultural technical standards, enhance product quality, and protect the identity of Battambang products to garner even greater support. The Battambang Fruit Fair 2026 has become a crucial platform for showcasing the agricultural and tourism potential of Battambang province. By exhibiting and selling fruit products, as well as various other agricultural and handicraft products, the fair aims to contribute to enhancing the value of local products, increasing market opportunities for farmers, and further promoting the economic and tourism growth of the province.
