Cambodia: Ministry of Information Women's Association and Yeo's Donate Rice and Food Kits to National Pediatric Hospital

The Ministry of Information Women's Association of Cambodia (Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development) in collaboration with Yeo's (Yeast Cambodia Food Beverage Co., Ltd.) donated 300 cases of vitamin-fortified rice and 1,650 food kits to the National Pediatric Hospital in Phnom Penh on July 30, 2026. This donation is part of humanitarian activities aimed at supporting the accommodation and medical treatment of patients. The 300 cases of vitamin-fortified rice were a gift from the Ministry of Information, while the 1,650 food kits were from Yeo's. Mrs. Tuy Serey Rathana Netphaktra, Honorary President of the Ministry of Information Women's Association, highlighted the government's high regard for social welfare, particularly the health of women and children, under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet and Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet. She conveyed greetings from the Prime Minister and his wife to the hospital's leadership, medical staff, and patients, wishing them good health and smiles. She praised the dedication of the National Pediatric Hospital's leadership and staff for their professional commitment to caring for, examining, consulting, and treating patients without regard for time or any particular bias, aiming to ensure all patients receive recovery treatment. Although the donation of 300 cases of vitamin-fortified rice may not meet all needs, it will undoubtedly help alleviate shortages for the public during their hospital stay. Mrs. Netphaktra also urged all citizens to pay close attention to their personal and family health by adopting clean living, safe eating habits, and maintaining good environmental hygiene. She emphasized that health issues are challenges that require collective participation to resolve for the harmony of Cambodian society now and in the future. It is noted that the Ministry of Information Women's Association for Peace and Development consistently undertakes numerous humanitarian activities at hospitals, orphanages, and various other locations.
