Da Nang City Military Command Holds Handover Ceremony for Commander Position

A handover ceremony for the Commander position of the Da Nang City Military Command was held on September 21 in Da Nang, a major city in central Vietnam. The ceremony was jointly organized by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 5 and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee. Colonel Tran Huu Ich formally transferred his duties and responsibilities as Commander to the new appointee, Colonel Nguyen The Vinh. The Da Nang City Military Command is also actively involved in contributing to the local community. Specific initiatives include delivering "Spring of Love" to residents in the most remote mountainous areas of Da Nang, donating 350 million VND (approximately 2 million JPY) to support victims of landslides in Hung Son village, and dispatching 100 officers and soldiers to assist residents affected by floods in Dak Lak province with rebuilding their homes. In Vietnam, the change of command for military organizations is considered an important personnel transfer for maintaining organizational stability and continuity. Local military commands, in particular, are responsible not only for regional security but also play diverse roles, including disaster relief and contributing to regional development.
