The online fraud prevention bill is expected to come into effect, according to U Thein Htun Oo, Secretary of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Bill Committee and Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representative for Amarapura constituency. The online fraud prevention bill was amended and approved by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on the 15th day of the second regular session of the third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, held on June 29. The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw is working to enact the online fraud prevention law, and the bill is expected to come into effect, said U Thein Htun Oo, Secretary of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Bill Committee. Regarding the bill, meetings were held and discussions took place with the relevant Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Bank of Myanmar, and relevant committees, and there were 42 amendments to the bill. These 42 amendments were submitted to the Hluttaw by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Bill Committee and were approved by the Hluttaw after obtaining approval. It is reported that Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representatives discussed 14 amendments to the 42 amendments approved by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Bill Committee.
