Thai Stocks: Energy, IT, and Materials Companies Draw Investor Attention
Thai stock market sees focus on B.Grimm Power's Vietnam expansion, KCE Electronics' recovery outlook, and Siam City Cement's revenue growth. Home Product Center anticipates challenging conditions.
Several major companies in the Thai stock market are drawing investor attention with their performance and business strategies. In particular, developments in the energy, electronics components, and building materials sectors are capturing investor interest. B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) is keen on expanding its operations in Vietnam. The company plans to increase its power generation capacity in the country to 2,000MW over the next 3-5 years, focusing on renewable energy and LNG to achieve its 2030 target. Vietnam has high energy demand, and BGRIM's plan aligns with the country's energy policy (PDP8). KCE Electronics Public Company Limited (KCE) anticipates an improvement in its performance in the second half of 2026, supported by stable orders for High-Density Interconnect (HDI) printed circuit boards from the automotive sector, increased production efficiency, and the full effect of product price hikes. KCE is one of Thailand's leading PCB exporters. Home Product Center Public Company Limited (HMPRO) expects challenging business conditions to persist in the second half of 2026. Rising energy costs, geopolitical uncertainties, and cautious consumer spending are expected to impact the company's home improvement retail business. For telecom giant True Corporation Public Company Limited (TRUE), it has been reaffirmed that China Mobile, a strategic shareholder, remains committed. Any potential sale of up to 1% of its stake would be part of normal portfolio management and unrelated to TRUE's business, which is expected to allay market concerns. BCPG Public Company Limited (BCPG), a renewable energy company, turned profitable in the second quarter of 2026, recovering from a loss in the same period last year, supported by the absence of impairment charges and lower foreign exchange losses. North East Rubber Public Company Limited (NER), which produces and sells rubber products primarily for the automotive tire industry, reported a net profit in Q2 2026 that exceeded expectations. Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC) also recorded a 30% year-on-year increase in net profit for Q2 2026 and announced an interim dividend. Synnex (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SYNEX), a distributor of IT products, also reported a profit exceeding expectations for Q2 2026 and declared an interim dividend. Source: ThaiCapitalist
