National Bank Governor Encourages Provincial High School Students, Awards Top Performers

She awarded prizes to outstanding students, emphasizing the importance of education and future talent development.
Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, visited Prasat Sambor district in Kampong Thom province to meet and provide words of encouragement and awards to students who successfully passed the matriculation and technical and vocational certificate level 3 examinations for the 2025-2026 academic year. Governor Chea Serey highly praised and commended the students' achievements, noting that they truly demonstrated perseverance, patience, and dedication to their studies, leading to positive outcomes. She joined in celebrating these results with the parents, guardians, and teachers. She also encouraged students who did not achieve success in this year's examinations to continue striving and learning without losing hope or giving up. She advised them to consider this year as a provider of new experiences to prepare for retaking the exams in the next academic year. She stressed that knowledge is a bridge that connects their present to a better future, serving as a strong foundation for capacity building, understanding the world, and improving family livelihoods. It is noted that for the 2025-2026 academic year's matriculation examinations in Kampong Thom province, a total of 5,883 candidates (3,409 female) took the exam. Of these, 198 candidates (125 female) from high schools in Prasat Sambor district participated, and 183 (119 female) passed, achieving a pass rate of 92%. Concurrently, 189 candidates (90 female) took the technical and vocational certificate level 3 examination, which is equivalent to the matriculation certificate. A total of 186 candidates (90 female) passed, achieving a pass rate of over 98%. The National Bank of Cambodia consistently contributes to supporting and promoting education for students through the sponsorship of supplementary training courses every year for matriculation examination candidates.
