Actor Le Vu Long: Artistic Couple's Bond and Career Rekindled

Vietnamese actor Le Vu Long has spoken about his career as an artist and his long-standing bond with his wife, dancer Thu Lan. The couple has walked together since 1995, supporting each other's artistic endeavors. Long addressed the public's perception that his career has stalled since the 1997 film "Xin hãy tin em," expressing his desire for new roles. Long stated that his current work primarily involves teaching part-time at art universities, allowing for a relatively peaceful family life. His children are studying arts abroad, and although they receive government scholarships, temporary expenses still strain the family budget. He believes that success in the arts requires talent and years of dedication, and one should not pursue it lightly. For his role as Dinh Bo Linh in the latest film "Hộ linh tráng sĩ," Long faced dual challenges: the creative freedom stemming from limited historical records and the demanding scenes of combat on horseback. He overcame his childhood fear of horses through months of intensive training. The heavy costume, weighing around 13 kg, and props, including a titan sword over 3 meters long, also contributed to the filming difficulties. Long expressed his desire to showcase a new facet of himself in "Hộ linh tráng sĩ," noting that the strong image of his past role in "Xin hãy tin em" does not represent the entirety of his career. He recalled his childhood exposure to theater with his father and his extensive involvement in various projects after graduating from university, highlighting his ambition to move beyond previous portrayals.
