Nene Royal, America's Got Talent Champion, to Join Major Merit-Making Event in Thailand

AFTER being declared the winner of America’s Got Talent season 21, 2026 and receiving US$1 million top prize Thai teenage guitarist and vocalist Rattikarn “Praew” Amloy, known by her stage name Nene Royal, is flying back home to participate in a major merit-making event, the enshrinement of Lord Buddha’s relics brought from Sri Lanka at Wat Intharawihan in Bangkok later this year, Amarin TV said today (Sep. 24). It has been confirmed that Nene Royal will meet fans and Thai Buddhists at Wat Intharawihan after having made history by winning on the global stage, a victory preceded by a heartfelt prayer before the competition. The ceremony to enshrine Lord Buddha’s relics from Sri Lanka is scheduled for Nov. 28 – Dec. 7, 2026. The procession and initial enshrinement ceremony will take place on Nov. 28, followed by a major ceremony on Nov, 30 to open the Viharn (sanctuary hall) and formally enshrine the relics. Buddhists will have the opportunity to pay homage and participate in the celebratory festivities throughout the 10-day period. Nene performed with Linkin Park on the band’s 2024 single “The Emptiness Machine.” The band’s frontman Mike Shinoda remarked that Nene is “incredible, incredible.”
