New Hyundai Palisade Hybrid to Debut in Vietnam

Hanoi, Vietnam – Hyundai Vietnam (Hyundai Thanh Cong) has put on display the new generation Palisade SUV, featuring a hybrid powertrain, at a major shopping mall in Hanoi on July 17-18. This event serves as an introduction to the new Palisade for Vietnamese customers before its official market launch in the latter half of 2026. The displayed model is the top-tier hybrid version. Company representatives indicated that the Palisade Hybrid is expected to be priced under VND 2 billion (approximately $80,000 USD) and will be locally assembled. The hybrid variant of the Palisade is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 329 horsepower and 459 Nm of torque. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission and offers both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options. A 1.65 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motors. In its new generation, the Palisade has grown in size compared to the current model. Its length has increased by 65-70 mm, reaching 5,065 mm depending on the version, and the wheelbase has been extended by 70 mm to 2,970 mm. The exterior design of the new Palisade Hybrid is characterized by its boxy and angular aesthetics. The front fascia is highlighted by a prominent grille and stacked LED daytime running lights on each side, with the taillights following a similar design theme. While the exterior embraces sharp lines, the interior adopts a more rounded design. The dashboard, door panels, and center console feature curved elements. Consistent with other Hyundai models, it includes a 12.3-inch dual screen for infotainment and the instrument cluster, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as standard. Detailed specifications and features for the new generation Palisade will be officially announced by Hyundai Vietnam on the launch date. The current generation Hyundai Palisade is sold in Vietnam in four variants, with 6 or 7-seat options, priced between VND 1.469 billion and VND 1.589 billion (approximately $60,000 - $65,000 USD). It competes in the E-segment CUV segment against models such as the Volkswagen Teramont (starting from VND 2.138 billion) and the VinFast VF 9 (VND 1.499 - 1.699 billion). By Luong Dung
