Speaking to reporters after a coordination meeting with the National Police (Polri) and the Ministry of Human Rights, Farid stated, "In carrying out its duties in the region (Papua), the TNI is always equipped with legal regulations that serve as the basis for its operations." He added, "Alhamdulillah, the implementation of tasks has also gone well. So, all of this is part of developing the entire Indonesian region in accordance with the President's Asta Cita." Farid highlighted the TNI's support for various efforts, including logistics, economic initiatives, and welfare improvements. He specifically mentioned the burning of the AMA aircraft by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). "The incident involving victims, including an American pilot, has occurred several times, starting with the Susi Airline aircraft. There was also an aircraft with an Indonesian pilot that was actually supporting economic welfare and development in Papua," he said. "Therefore, our hope is that all citizens in Papua will always support us in carrying out our duties and cooperate if any violence or undesirable incidents still occur in the Papuan region," Farid added. Furthermore, Farid emphasized the need to strengthen synergy between the TNI, Polri, and relevant ministries and institutions in handling Papua. "I ask that you continue to coordinate with us to implement welfare and security in the Papua region. We hope for synergy between the TNI and Polri, as well as with ministries and institutions involved in supporting the government's tasks," he stated. "So that we can work together well, and avoid disinformation that goes viral and causes division in our unity," he concluded, stressing the importance of information sharing.
