Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia – A meeting was convened in Kampong Thom Province to gather input for drafting an action plan to implement the national Strategic Framework for Cambodia 2024-2030. The meeting, led by Kampong Thom Deputy Governor Mr. Ly Vet, was attended by representatives from the administration of all nine districts and cities within the province, the Provincial Police Commissioner's office, and relevant ministries and units. It took place on June 30th at the meeting hall of the Provincial Planning Department. The primary objectives of the meeting were to disseminate the policy content of the Cambodia Strategic Framework 2024-2030, discuss and identify priority actions and measurement indicators in line with the province's demographic and economic situation, and collect essential elements for drafting an effective implementation action plan that responds to the actual development needs of Kampong Thom Province. Mr. Noun Silouth, Director of the Provincial Planning Department, stated that the Cambodia Strategic Framework 2024-2030 was developed to support sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for the people. He urged all relevant ministries, units, and district/city administrations to actively contribute input and opinions to ensure the action plan is effective and addresses the province's specific development requirements. Deputy Governor Ly Vet emphasized that the Strategic Framework is a crucial policy document of the Cambodian government, focusing on improving citizen welfare and fostering sustainable socio-economic development, aligning with Cambodia's 2030 vision of becoming a high-middle-income country.
