In Takéo province, southern Cambodia, Governor Vay Samnang led a delegation of relevant officials to inspect the construction site of the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association building on the morning of Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The building is located in Chak village, Roka Knar commune, Don Keo city. During the inspection, Governor Vay Samang urged that the construction proceed swiftly according to the set plan and ensure high quality. The new building is intended to serve as a center for serving and improving the living conditions and welfare of veterans in Takéo province. It is noteworthy that on June 7, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for this building was held, presided over by HE Kun Kim, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association, along with HE Vay Samnang, the Provincial Governor. The construction of this building is a continuation of the Royal Government of Cambodia's policy to pay attention to the welfare and rights of veterans, who are heroes that have greatly contributed to the construction, defense, and development of the nation, achieving peace and development as it is today.
