Meeting with Employers and Workers: MOL UM met with employers and workers in Pathein

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, and responsible officials met with approximately 200 employers and workers from factories and workshops at Ayeyar Shwe Wa Hall in Pathein, on Tuesday morning. The Union Minister provided clarifications on the activities of the Ministry of Labour and coordinated to address the presentations made by attendees. On Monday morning, Union Minister, visited the Skill Training School (Pathein) to observe the training sessions of Electrical Motor Control Driving Course No. 1/2026. The Union Minister delivered words of encouragement. Additionally, at the Skill Training School hall, he met with officers from various departments and offices, delivered remarks, and offered cordial encouragement. Afterward, the Union Minister and responsible officials met with workers at the Dong Long Garment Factory in Pathein. They provided clarifications regarding the ongoing provision of healthcare services to insured workers under the Social Security system, as well as the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by insured workers. They also toured and offered encouragement for the mobile medical treatment services being provided at the factory site by the Social Security Board, where a mobile clinic was deployed to treat workers directly at the factory. Approximately 300 workers at the factory were able to receive medical care from doctors and nurses provided by the Social Security Board, it’s reported.
