Kampong Thom Province Opens New Academic Year, Emphasizing Vocational Training and Employment
The Institute of Management and Economics Science (IMSE) in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia, celebrated the opening of its 3rd academic year for 2026-2027. The institute aims to provide quality education and ensure post-graduation employment, contributing to student welfare and national development, with notable features like 100% scholarships and career guidance.
The Institute of Management and Economics Science (IMSE) in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia, held an opening ceremony for the 3rd academic year, 2026-2027, on September 19. The ceremony was attended by HE. Loeung Pich, Provincial Council Member of Pursat and Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMSE; Mr. Chea Vanchann, Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom Provincial Administration and President of the Youth Union of Cambodia Federation of Kampong Thom Province; and Mr. Han Kosal, Deputy Governor of Kampong Provincial Administration and Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union of Cambodia Federation. The event took place at the institute, located in Prey Kuy Village, Prey Kuy Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province. Deputy Governor Mr. Han Kosal stated that the IMSE Kampong Thom branch aims to be an institution that provides excellent quality education, ensuring that all graduating students find employment. He pledged to provide broad educational opportunities to improve students' livelihoods and contribute to nation-building. The institute is committed to efficient student selection, training students with knowledge, skills, and capabilities, and providing employment opportunities for all. Mr. Chea Vanchann highlighted the benefits that youth can gain from studying and participating in educational programs that offer career guidance and life goal setting. These include gaining an understanding of work, planning life goals, obtaining certificates, and securing opportunities for employment and personal development. A special benefit mentioned is the 100% scholarship offered by IMSE Kampong Thom, along with other related advantages and opportunities. HE. Loeung Pich, considering the opening ceremony as a special opportunity for recent high school graduates who may not yet have clear goals, emphasized that it provides information and guidance to help them make more informed decisions about their future studies and careers. He added that it helps to enhance youth's understanding of the importance of setting life goals, developing skills, and preparing for future job opportunities. IMSE has three target locations: Pursat Province (main campus), Kampong Thom Province (second campus), and Siem Reap Province (third campus).
