Can Tho Promotes Digital Technology Supply-Demand Linkage

Can Tho City, located in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region, is accelerating efforts to strengthen collaboration among businesses in the digital technology sector. On September 10, the Can Tho City People's Committee, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications Industry under the Ministry of Science and Technology, organized a workshop titled "Supply-Demand Linkage Between Digital Technology Enterprises and Digital Technology Application Enterprises." The workshop aims to connect companies on the supply and demand sides of digital technology, fostering the creation of concrete business opportunities. In recent years, the Vietnamese government has positioned digital transformation (DX) as one of its key national strategies, making its promotion urgent even in provincial cities. Can Tho City seeks to revitalize its regional economy and enhance industrial competitiveness through this workshop. Under its one-party system, Vietnam prioritizes economic growth and has actively attracted investment, particularly in manufacturing and IT sectors in recent years. While navigating complex relations with China, Vietnam is establishing itself as a new manufacturing hub amid global moves to diversify supply chains. Against this backdrop, the utilization of digital technology is becoming an indispensable element for the overall advancement of the Vietnamese economy, going beyond mere efficiency improvements. This initiative in Can Tho City serves as an example of how provincial cities can contribute to the nation's DX strategy.
