Thailand Considers 1,000 Baht Departure Tax for International Air Travellers

Thailand's Ministry of Finance is considering a 1,000 baht departure tax for all international air travellers as part of efforts to better utilize public resources and maintain fiscal discipline. A public consultation has been launched for the proposal, which would mark the return of such a tax after more than three decades.
