France Continues Support for Temple Restoration and Sustainable Conservation at Angkor

The 42nd Technical Session of the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of Angkor and Sambor Prei Kuk concluded in Siem Reap, with France reaffirming its support for the restoration of West Mebon Temple and the development of a water management master plan. The West Mebon Temple restoration, funded by France with a total of 12 million euros, is expected to be completed in November 2026, with an inauguration ceremony planned during the Francophonie Summit that month.
