Bank Indonesia Tightens Foreign Exchange Carrying Supervision for Rupiah Stability

Bank Indonesia (BI) is intensifying supervision of foreign exchange, both physical and electronic, entering and leaving the country to maintain the stability of the rupiah. Individuals carrying foreign currency equivalent to or exceeding Rp1 billion without official permission will face confiscation.
