Vietnam Honors Three Fallen Heroes, Vows for Future Development

In Cam Lam village, Co Dam commune, Ha Tinh province, Mr. Tran Trung quietly lit incense before the solemn altar displaying the National Merit Certificates of his two elder brothers, remembering them with deep respect and immense pride. This family lost three sons defending the nation. The eldest son died during the Vietnam War, while the second and third sons perished in border conflicts. Their sacrifices symbolize the heavy price Vietnam has paid for its independence and territorial integrity. Under the one-party system of the Communist Party, Vietnam has prioritized national unity and development. Its economic growth has been remarkable, increasing its global economic presence. However, it is crucial not to forget the sacrifices and dedication of many, especially the younger generation, that underpin this growth. The story of this family quietly but powerfully conveys that present-day Vietnam stands on the foundation of such sacrifices. Ha Tinh province has also focused on attracting investment and improving administrative services in recent years. For instance, support policies for staff at public administrative service centers have been implemented, reflecting efforts to revitalize the local economy and enhance residents' quality of life. DNA sampling surveys are also being conducted at cemeteries with a large number of unidentified graves, aiming to identify fallen soldiers from past wars and conflicts and provide information to their families. These initiatives demonstrate respect for past sacrifices and the Vietnamese government's commitment to national well-being and social stability. The Deputy Prime Minister also attended a ceremony honoring artillery soldiers who died in this area, expressing reverence for national heroes and reaffirming the commitment to building a peaceful nation.
