Vietnam Honors Long-Serving Party Members, Reaffirming Party Building Efforts

On September 2nd, the Communist Party of Vietnam held a ceremony in Duc Quang commune, Ha Tinh province, to award Party insignias to members celebrating 80 and 65 years of service. Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, a Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister, attended the ceremony and presented the insignias. During the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Thi Tu (born 1929, joined the Party in 1948) received the 80-year Party insignia, and five comrades, including Bui Huu Tien, received the 65-year Party insignia. Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc stated that awarding the Party insignia is a recognition from the Party for the lifelong contributions of its members. He also emphasized that it serves as an occasion to express gratitude and honor the generations who laid the foundation, enabling Vietnam's robust development and international standing today. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that the selection and awarding of Party insignias are crucial activities in Party building, conducted in accordance with Party statutes and directives from the Central Committee. He urged the Party committees and organizations at all levels in Ha Tinh to continue implementing this task with a spirit of responsibility, accuracy, timeliness, rigor, and humanity. He particularly stressed the importance for Party committees to proactively understand the situation of elderly members with poor health and mobility, ensuring that awards are presented promptly, solemnly, and with care, demonstrating the Party's affection, responsibility, and concern. The Communist Party of Vietnam has been dedicated to the nation's development and the improvement of people's lives since its founding. The awarding of Party insignias is a significant opportunity to honor the Party's history and contributions, and to enhance the pride and sense of responsibility among its members. This is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen the Party's leadership and the people's trust in the Party within Vietnam's one-party system.
