Vietnam Launches Soy Milk Support Program for Children in Difficult Areas

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross, in coordination with the Vietnam Soy Milk Company (Vinasoy) and the Vietnam Soy Milk Scholarship Fund, has announced the launch of the "School Soy Milk Program" for the 2026-2027 academic year. This program aims to provide one million boxes of soy milk free of charge to elementary students in disadvantaged areas. The initiative, which commenced in Quang Ngai province on September 16, is designed to supplement nutrition and support the physical development of over 15,700 children residing in underprivileged regions. It is emphasized that school health is the foundation for the comprehensive development of students. This program is part of Vietnam's social welfare activities, focusing particularly on improving the health of children in economically challenging situations. Vinasoy has previously contributed to the growth of Vietnamese children through similar scholarship programs and health support activities. While Vietnam has seen economic growth, regional disparities persist, with children in rural and mountainous areas often facing malnutrition and health issues.
