The administration emphasized that the school has long promoted values of mutual respect, multicultural understanding, and responsible global citizenship, adding that it rejects any attempt to associate its name with behavior that contradicts those principles. The statement further described the spread of false information as defamatory and harmful to the reputation of the school, its teachers, students, and their families. School officials said they are gathering evidence related to the online posts and have reserved the right to pursue both civil and criminal legal action against those responsible for creating or sharing the false claims. The clarification follows widespread online discussion after a group of Italian teenagers were filmed behaving loudly on a BTS Skytrain before becoming involved in a verbal confrontation with a Thai passenger who asked them to be considerate. The incident sparked criticism on social media, with some online users incorrectly identifying the school the teenagers allegedly attended.
